In NSW, asbestos removal is governed by SafeWork NSW under the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017. Friable asbestos, the crumbly, readily airborne kind, is Class A and requires a Class A licence for any quantity; non-friable (bonded) fibro is Class B.
