Bonded asbestos, common in older homes and buildings, is stable while intact, but it can become friable when damaged, aged, weathered, fire-affected or water-blasted, and friable material needs Class A handling. In a strip-out, hidden material often gets disturbed, so a site inspection determines the class before the work is scoped, factual, not alarmist.
